I’ve always believed that travel is about more than seeing somewhere new. It’s an opportunity to understand how other people live, experience places beyond what we’ve heard about them, and discover just how much we have in common.

Rita Checks In is where I share those discoveries through firsthand stories of hotels, destinations, food and culture. My travels take me from thoughtfully chosen stays to experiences that bring me closer to the people and history of a place. I love a beautiful hotel, but I’m just as interested in the stories waiting beyond its doors.

Through my videos, photography and writing, I share what a place was really like, what stayed with me, and the details I’d want to know if I were planning the trip myself. My hope is to inspire more women to explore the world with curiosity and confidence, while reminding us that, wherever we come from, we often have more in common than we think.
